Today is World Cancer Day

A global event taking place every year on February 4, World Cancer Day unites the world’s population in the fight against cancer. It aims to prevent millions of deaths each year by raising awareness and education about the disease, pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action.

According to the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), there are 8.2 million cancer deaths per year worldwide, almost half of which are patients aged 30 to 69. The global occurrence is expected to rise to 12 million per year by 2030 with global cost of care estimated at $458 billion.

Here at Brainlab, employees showed their commitment to the cause by creating a video that shares how they personally impact cancer.
